Claude is often the pick of people who write a lot and who code. We are not in the same category, and this page says so plainly before saying where we are better.
In one sentence: Claude has a free tier and very high capacity plans that we do not have; Surikat offers shareable private accounts from €3.00 including tax per person per month, in Europe, with no reuse of your conversations for training and nothing to switch off to get that.

A free tier
Anthropic's pricing page shows a free plan, presented as open to everyone. We have none: with us every access is paid, and there is no public free trial.

Very high capacity plans
Above the Pro plan the vendor shows a Max plan starting at $100 excluding tax per month, with two usage tiers. If what you need is a volume we do not serve, that offer exists there and not here.

Models at the top of public leaderboards
On 28 July 2026 the public LMArena leaderboard placed several Anthropic models in its top ten. None of the three open-weight models we serve appears on it, so we publish no quality comparison in figures, neither in our favour nor in theirs.

Claude Pro is listed at $20 excluding tax per month, or $17 a month on an annual commitment, for one account. Our Family plan gives 4 private accounts for €3.00 including tax per person per month.

Nothing to switch off to stay out of training
Anthropic's privacy policy, effective 8 July 2026, states that the vendor may use inputs and outputs to train and improve its models unless the user opts out from their account settings. With us there is no opt-out to exercise: your exchanges never feed training.

Processing that never leaves Europe
Your conversations and the model inference stay on European infrastructure, hosted in France. Nothing is sent outside the European Union to be computed.

Choose Claude if
- you want to try without paying;
- you have intense professional use and want the highest capacity available;
- top quality on hard tasks matters more to you than price or where the data sits.
Choose us if
- you want to share a subscription without sharing the conversations;
- you would rather nothing you write can train a model, without having to configure it;
- you want processing that stays in Europe;
- your budget is a few euros a month.

Other vendors' prices are quoted in the currency and tax basis they display themselves. Ours are in euros, including tax. We do not convert for you: an exchange rate frozen into this page would age faster than everything else on it.

Is Claude better than Surikat?
On public model leaderboards we cannot answer: Anthropic's models are listed, the open-weight models we serve are not. What we can measure is our own share of answers judged satisfactory on everyday requests, 96 to 99% in our 27 July 2026 measurement. For demanding professional use, Claude is probably the better choice.
Can I share my Claude subscription with my family?
The Anthropic pricing page we read on 28 July 2026 shows no consumer multi-account plan. Our Family plan gives 4 distinct personal accounts for €3.00 including tax per person per month, with conversations fully isolated from one another.
